Grant’s Gazelles are fawn coloured with white under parts. They have a distinctive face with white patches around the eyes and a black stripe coming from each eye. Their horns are lyre-shaped, curving forwards then back and up, and can be unto 80cms in length.

They live in the savannahs and grasslands in herds which usually consist of up to 30, feeding on grasses and leaves.

They are known for their jumps where they lift all four limbs off the ground at the same time.
